Newest Course Dates - Learn to Sew, Embroider, Make a Skirt, and Fashion Illustration

We’ve got some great courses coming up, from fun courses to make mum something special for Mothers Day to some great programmes really focusing on making and designing skills.


Create a personal keepsake gift for this Mothers Day with our embroidery class.
You just need to bring along a simple pillowcase, (or we can provide one for £2) or a handkerchief and we’ll walk you through embroidering your mothers’ initials onto it. Embroidery threads will be provided, and you will choose a template and the colour of the embroidery thread to suit.

This workshop is a good follow on from our learn to sew courses and enables you to put your newly learnt skills into practice. Learn how to use a commercial pattern, lay, mark and pin pattern to fabric and cut out. You will sew seams and darts, insert a lapped zip, attach a waistband, make and attach a lining, make a button hole, hem and press and finish your skirt ready to wear. You will be given a pattern to use and go home with you, just bring along your choice of fabric.

Fashion Drawing and Illustration
Our One day intensive Fashion Drawing class is a crash course in all the fashion Illustration skills you could need for professional and creative fashion design. Ideal if you’ve not got much free time and want to learn this skill or brush up your talent. This course is a taste of the various types of drawing a designer would undertake from initial sketch, through working drawings to finished presentation illustrations and will enable students to gain confidence in fashion drawing and design.
You will learn how use a variety of different media to draw the fashion figure and develop a set of poses.

Sunday, March 11th
10.30 – 15.30

This course runs over 5 weeks on Mondays from the 26th.  Learn Fashion illustration from a designer’s standpoint; how a garment is designed following all the various stages from initial sketch, through working drawings to finished presentation illustrations. You will learn how use a variety of different media to draw the fashion figure and develop a set of poses. It will show you how to draw the body and face in proportion, to draw and render garment details and textile simulation and to produce a portfolio of fashion art suitable for college/university entry, for marketing or to enhance your employment opportunities.
