Learn to Sew in London 2012

London is going to be a hive of talent this summer: with the best in sport, the arts and entertainment during endless festivals and events to mark the Olympics.
East London is going to be bursting at the seams with goings on, and at Fashion Antidote we’re on the edge of our seat to see how this will affect us! Like all small businesses we cant even begin to gauge how we’ll be affected, but were looking forward to it all the same, and treating it as an opportunity not to be missed!

So if your in town during the summer, make the most of your time here and pop over to our studio to learn some fun new fashion skills. We’ve got lots going on such as:

If you’re visiting the UK for a bit why not join us for our Learn To Sew courses or a longer course as a part of our summer school?

See our site here for all information on all courses, or give us a call on 02073753235, or even grab a brolly and brave the rain to visit us at the studio!

Loving East London

This shop front illustration has recently popped up right around the corner from us - we saw the process of the painting going up last week and the finished product is so striking. Never a dull minute in our creative corner of London.

We like to make the most of being based in such a creatively rich area, by integrating tours and trips around the local markets, studios, shops boutiques and exhibitions in with our regular short courses.

We call these our Fashion Days Out, and they are exactly that, a chance to get out about in London visiting the most amazing and inspiring fashion destinations. Based on either Vintage fashion or InsideLondon fashion and culture, our Fashion Days Out make the most of our wonderful city and combine lectures, talks and sewing skills with guided tours and visits (and a fair bit of shopping)

Have a peek at the site for more about these fabulous weekends and for details on how to book.

Special event coming up?
We can also tailor days or weekends to you – if you’d like to organise a Fashion Day Out with a group for a special event, birthday, anniversary, celebration or part of a holiday – we can tailor a package to your interests and find a date to suit you. We just need confirmation of a group size of at least 8. Call for more details on 02073753235 or email info@fashonantidote.com

We've got that vintage feeling!

Being so ideally located in Brick Lane, right by Spitalfields market and the ever busy Truman Brewery, at Fashion Antidote we're always surrounded by an inspiring mixture of contemporary and vintage fashion. With our Vintage fashion weekend just round the corner we dipped our toe into the amazing selection of Vintage wares around, get us in the mood.

The Shop

The Shop is one of Brick Lanes longest standing Vintage Stores, and offers an unrivalled range of beautiful vintage fabrics alongside rare and quality vintage garments.

Blitz Department Store
Blitz Department Store is a huge five room Victorian warehouse transformed into an all-encompassing department store. The store is a joy to walk around with so much thought put into the beautiful decor, and every vintage need is catered for, from huge selection of clothes, accessories, furniture and homeware.

Spitalfields Market

Spitalfields is just round the corner from us, and a great influence and inspiration for us and our students alike. Thursday's Antique Market is a collectors and vintage hunters dream, with everything from jewellery, apparel, military paraphernalia, furniture and the odd stuffed animal.

Join us on our Vintage Weekend and we'll take you around all these places and more, in between learning some priceless sewing knowledge and creating your very own vintage inspired skirt in our studio.
See the website for more info and for our other sewing courses!
