Wapping Project - Southbank
Italian born
photographer Zanon-Larcher has been a friendly fixture backstage at Fashion
Week for many years, snapping away for the little guys; he’s been with Richard
Nichol from the start, and works with close friend Eudon Choi, and also the
biggest of names; Alexander McQueen, Bottega Veneta and
Balenciaga, Dries van Noten, Paul Smith, Martin Margiela, Hussein Chalayan and
Lanvin amongst others. His work for Yohji Yamamoto has covered ten seasons.
Always working in film, his work is
always stunning and almost voyeuristic, capturing moments of movement and calm
in the backstage flurry. This solo exhibit at the Southbank portion of the
Wapping project moves away from his backstage work, and depicts some beautiful
pictures of women, often in black and white, with great attention to detail and
a echo of emotion.
We loved it, and recommend you pop
along, a great image maker in fashion, and great for inspiration!
