Menswear in the capital

Time for us to give the boys their own spotlight, as the capital celebrates the first ‘London Collections: Men’.

Menswear is breaking down boundaries to be as influential, experimental and just as important as its female counterpart, and in celebration of this is the first menswear week in the capital.  The 3 day event (when are our ‘weeks’ ever actually 7 days?) combines all the best established and upcoming menswear collections through catwalks, presentations and press events, and gives menswear space to shine. Featuring clever and sophisticated tailoring from Xander Zhou, 80’s Californian skater boys at Topman and fresh and wearable leopard print and smart casuals at newcomer YMC, London Collections: Men has made it clear that forward thinking menswear has its home in the capital.

Passionate about menswear but don’t know where to start? Our menswear garment construction and pattern cutting courses are running September, all enquiries to Susan (info@fashionantidote.com) In the mean time learn to sew and make clothes with us, tackle design classics such as the tshirt, a shirt and a tailored jacket, or get your creative juices flowing and design a whole collection.
