Happy Mothers Day!
After a last minute gift? Why not book mum into one of our short courses, Make a pair of knickers perhaps, or how about Make a Spring Dress?
Here are some crafty and fashion-y goings on to do today with mum:
Billed as the best craft show for this year, Stitch and Craft is bursting with things to do and make, including knitting and paper craft. Stitch and Craft say: "We celebrate the Olympics with an extraordinary and never-to-be repeated
display of quilts, we celebrate the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee with a
competition to create a card for Her Majesty and we celebrate the advent
of Future’s bright new magazine, Mollie Makes."
Head East for Columbia Road Flower market, a treat of stunning blossoms and bunches.
"On Sunday the street is transformed into oasis of foliage and flowers.
Everything from bedding plants to 10 foot banana trees are up for grabs.
The air is intense with the scent of flowers and the chant of the
barrow boys "Everthin' a fiver"? A lot of the flower sellers grow their
own plants or import flowers from around the world."
Or come down our way and spend the day strolling around the wealth of markets around Spitalfields. Brick lane comes alive of a Sunday, with Spitalfields Market, the Sunday Upmarket, and Vintage markets up and down Brick Lane.
