Daytime courses for busy mums and dads

Daytime learn to sew courses

Beginners sewing courses running in the daytime, designed to fit around the school run. Industry experienced teachers, small, informal and friendly classes and an excellent level of tuition, all you need to get sewing either for yourself, your family or for business.

Learn To Sew
Our daytime learn to sew courses teach you all you need to know to get sewing and understand your sewing machine. We over all the basics and essential sewing skills, including basic stitches, how make a variety of seams and sew curves and corners. Learn about the machine parts and the up keep of the machine, about using the correct needles and threads, and how to thread the machine correctly and adjust the tension.

You will sew darts, insert zips, attach waistbands and facings, make gathers and frills and learn how to hem and finish a garment and how to make a button hole. You will also learn how to choose a commercial pattern, lay a pattern on fabric and cut out and mark, ready to sew.
